Expenses

Expenses is your operating ledger: power, fuel, rent, salaries, uplink, equipment, and agent reimbursements. It sits next to Reports so you can see spend against the money you actually collected.

In plain language

Record what left the business. Profit on the cards is completed payments minus paid expenses for the same dates. Pending stays out of profit until you mark it paid. Link a router, customer, or agent so you know which site or person the cost belongs to.

Where to find it

  1. Money → Expenses — cards, filters, and the list. Available in Simple and Pro.
  2. Add expense — Add and edit expenses.
  3. Reports — revenue for the same period.
  4. Invoices — customer bills; expenses are what you pay out.

What to record

  • Amount in your display currency, date, category, and how you paid (cash, MoMo, bank).
  • Vendor (ECG, landlord, fuel station) — reused next time from a suggestion list.
  • Link a router for site cost, a customer for CPE work, or an agent if they sell for you and you pay them.
  • Turn on Repeats every month for rent, salaries, uplink, or agent pay. NettPortal posts the same amount each month. Use pending if you have not paid yet.
  • The NettPortal 4% card shows your platform fee for the same dates. Turn on Take from profit to see take-home (revenue − spent − 4%). Turn it off to see profit before the fee.
  • Pending status for money you still owe. Tax deductible for levy/VAT you can export.
  • Export CSV from the list for your accountant.
